sites near old trafford

help please,going to genesis concert on july 7,does any one know of any sites around that part of manchester, not to far to drive as wife is taking me and picking me up from old trafford, thanks in anticipation

There is the Caravan Club site, Burrs Country Park near Bury to the north of Manchester. You can then get the tram from Bury to Old Trafford.

There is also Holly Bank Caravan Park at Rixton (tel. 0161 775 2842) which is about 2 miles from junction 21 of the M6 towards Manchester. You could then get the tram from Altrincham (about 6 miles away)to Old Trafford.

thanx dusty have looked on review for holly bank, not to keen on staying there as contractors on site, unless anyone has stayed there and knows different

I've been passing it regularly going over Warburton Bridge and it looks fine. There appear to be quite a few 'vans on seasonal pitches there. You could always ring the site and ask them.
