I would love any recommendations for sites with indoor pools preferrably in the top half of the country (ie above Birmingham)

One of our favourite sites is Stanwix Park near Carlisle in Cumbria. The indoor pool is open til 9pm.

Although we did not try the swimming pool as it was being constructed when we were there, I can definately vouch for the rest of the facilities at the Plassey Leisure Park. It was a brilliant holiday - one thing which I was pleasantly surprised at was a member of the management team came to have a quick word with us the night before we left to ask if we enjoyed ourselves and were there any problems. We have never experienced this before and thought it was a very pleasant and personal getsure.
