We have been to the caravan club site at Strid Wood ( about 8 miles from Skipton) it is our very favourite site in the whole world so far! quiet, small and clean ( apart from the cockerals at the house next door that is)

We have stayed at Strid Wood before and it is a very nice site, with nice walks along the river to the Abbey. Also Wharfedale at Grassington is very nice but is about 10/15 minute drive to skipton.

thanks for reply,s.

would of liked to go to strid wood but just noticed restriction on outfit lenght. possible go to draughton site.

thanks again for reply,s. a real bonus topic on this site when you,re looking for somwhere new.

Dave, Don't worry about the restrictions on outfit length we spent the easter holidays at Strid Wood this year and there were several twin axles and large motorhomes on the site. The pitches give the usual generous space by all caravan club sites and the access roads are fine. I can only endorse what other people have said about Strid Wood it is a great site in a fantastic location. The wardens told me that the site runs at over 95% capacity so if your thinking about going book well in advance. Richard S
