hello i've just change my car for the skoda octavia 1.9 tdi 1999 t reg saloon, i'm really happy with cars overall performance and fuel consumption, just wondering if anyone has one for a tow car out there, any comments would be apprciated. regards wendy
 
Hi wendy, yes i tow with a 2003 tdi Octavia although mine's an estate, 90bhp, superb towcar towing my 1156kg Bailey, the only thing to watch is the noseweight limit of a paltry 60kg, takes some juggling in the van to get it right, otherwise highly recommended, Ian
 
I opted out of the company car scheme last May and puchased a new Octavia 1.9 Tdi 130 bhp L & C hatchback. Its a brilliant tow car with amazing performance.

When we went to France last summer, out of 1600 miles covered, 1000 miles were towing and the car averaged 32 mpg. On cruise control it would travel all day on the French motorways at 110 kph in 5th gear (out of 6)with little effort.
