This issue has come up before. It appears that the brochures for the Scout were printed before the standard level of equipment for the Scout for the UK market was fuly defined. The figure in the brochure is therefore for the base vehicle without any options. Kerbweights in brochures are only meant to be a guideline anyway and cannot be used as an accurate indicator of what the actual kerbweight of any particular car is.For some raeson the quoted kerbweight in the Skoda brochure of the Scout isn 100kg less than the equivalent 4 wd estate, which is puzzling as the Scout has all the spec of the 4wd estate plus other bits. There was a post some while back where someone weighed their Scout and found it to be quite a bit heavier than the brochure. When I contacted Skoda I received a condescending reply.
