The towbar for the Civic and CRV are identical and mount on exactly the same points on the chassis frame, but the civic rear suspension is softer and is only front wheel drive.
The fact that a car is 'only' front wheel drive or has a softer suspension is not, in itself, a valid reason for the maximum permitted noseweight to be any less. If the maximum rear axle loads are the same, only differences in body structure can explain why one has a lower (or higher) noseweight.

Hi While we was away last weekend we spoke to a caravanner who had a Honda C R V Auto he was very happy with this 4x4, ask him what he get to the gallon towing all most 30 towing 45 long run, But what get me is the van he had the weight of it was 1420kg and the max tow weight on this Auto was 1500kg,
Will I be all right towing our van weight 1335kg on the Honda C R V Auto, or will it be better to find another Auto with a higher max tow weight or 2000kg, What do you think,? Thanks Trevor 123

If the manufactuer gives 1500kg as the tow weight they will have allowed for things such as hot climates long gradients etc so at your loading I would say the CRV auto will be fine. After all it is a Honda.

Weve got the 06 model CRV.2.2 CDTI Manual.(Max.1500kg towing limit and 100kg limit on towball)
The Sancerre is 1435kg.(MTPLM).
The car tows the caravan fine with plenty of power and no instability issues at all(obviously,we make sure its loaded correctly, tyre pressures etc....).
I find that with about 80-85kg on the towball works well also.
I am however goping to change it for a Sorrento soon though,(dont want to go into detail but I have a problem with the CRV which main dealer and diesel specialist are unable to find the fault, and after spending over £1200 trying to sort it,enough is enough).
Hope this hasnt put you off the CRV though.
