we will be taking our sky box from home to use in our caravan,i know we will ave to tune it all in and found a really usefull site explaining it all.my question is when we return home will we ave to retune the sky box in again,or will it pick up attomacticly.hope this does not sound to dumb lol

you don't actually tune the receiver - that stays as set up at home. I assume you will not be removing your dish from home but will be taking one with you. If so, when you get home, you simply re-connect your receiver to your existing cables and away you go.

My own record for aligning the portable dish correctly (using a compass but not a meter) is just under one minute which is faster than the tv auto-tune.

The first time we tried to align the dish, as usual, I didn't read the instructions properly and couldn't get it lined up until I ensured that the dish was perfectly level on the ground. We use a Multimo and now stand it on a tray which is really simple to level.
