im new to caravans ive got an avondale rialto 640/6, the water flow out of the taps is very slow ive fitted a new pump but still slow any sugestions, could it be the inline filter?

caravans are not noted for having pressurised water systems like you have at home,if its that bad trace the pipe from whichever tap is running slow and make sure no kinks in piping,as iv'e said ittll probably ok its normakl for water to run a lott- lot slower than domestic water supplies

As you know the pump model, check the technical data on Whale's web site. They give you the litre flow rate per foot, height etc for different applications.
Assuming your leisure battery is in good health run the cold tap and pour the water into measuring jugs for one minute and see how much has flowed out.
I think you may find the flow is as specified. As Klarky says do not expect domestic pressure.
Let us know how you get on.
Lastly could be a blocked filter or air leak??

The in-line filter could certainly reduce the flow, particularly if the van is not in frequent use. Algae and bacteria detritus can build up on the filter membrane as when not in use its wet and stagnant. They really serve very little use and bring problems like this in casual use applications.
mine failed after many years and i have just fitted an 881 and its slow slow slow.fit a 921 for better pressure.see

fitting a bigger pump than recommended for the van you have can cause problems in smaller vans___the pressure can sometimes be a little too much and some seals may be affected.

I'm sorry but I agree with your statement. I think you will find that all water fittings that are designed and sold for touring caravans have the same pressure rating. Thus provide the pump you choose is designed for touring caravans, then the fittings will be fine from a pressure point of view.
What may happen is that fitting a bigger pump may not have the desired effect because the bore of the fittings may be too small to give any real advantage to water flow.

what year is the rialto? depending on the year will tell me which pump it should have, either submersible or on-board, and whether a filter was fitted. i was an avondale dealer from 1986 till 2006
Try removeing the small mesh cap on the end of the water spout these often catch small bits in the water and can quickly slow down the water flow
