That is another con that suppliers use with some including VAT and others excluding it. The consumer then thinks that the supplier exxcluding VAT when quoting the cost of a kwh is cheaper when in effect they are more expensive. When they get their bill they get a bit of a fright when the 5% is then added on. Suppliers make supermarkets look like amateurs when it comes to costs!As a follow up, I have just been changed over earlier last month, from Bulb to Octopus and one of the things they mentioned was that with Bulb, prices were stated without VAT, but Octopus include VAT. My daily usage is even more frightening. 😨😨😨
