solar panel.

Hi All,

not sure what section to put this under so will start here.Have done a search but found nothing,but may be i,m not looking hard enough.I am looking into the idea of running with an 50 - 80w solar panel instead of using elecric hook ups.We are intending spending the winters in spain from next winter onwards.Does anyone know if these are simple enough to install or should it be a dealer job?.I'm not up on electrics much and i dont really want to talk to a dealer on the matter without knowing the basics for the worry of being ripped off.So if any one has any answers i would be very grateful.Thanks Kev

Solar panel is just a plug in unless you want it fixed to roof

Thanks for the fast reply will look at the link,Have looked at various sites that sell solar panel kits but could do with having an idea of how they connect to the leisure batt and all that techy stuff!!! or is it so simple i,m looking too hard for an issue?thanks again atb.

panels and ask we all have to learn

Hi Kev .

You dont say if caravan old or new , i have a new Sift group caravan and there is a connection point under bed locker next to battery box for asolar panel , its mentioned in the instruction book hope this helps alittle.

our caravan was brand new last october it is an Adria Adora 532up i have'nt looked at the manual to see if there is a connection for a solar panel.We are having a week out in the van this week coming so will have a look at it then.Unfortunately we have to store it away from home so its difficult to just *** out and have a quick look.Thanks for the tip though.Would be brill if it did have a connection for a solar panel.Thanks again,Kev.
