If a dealer has your caravan for any reason, surely it's on their insurance while they have it.
Any claim would be made against the dealership or workshop insurance policy, not yours.

When I had a Phantom Alarm, they stated in the paperwork, if you wanted to disconnect the battery , telephone them first, and again when you have reconnected the battery.
I think you can now do that Online using the "Shield" facility?
