Here is another one from an American site. Lot cheaper than the MAPLIN one even if you take into consideration any custom duty, VAT and delivery costs.

When I bought mine I hadn't realised that lightweight flexible panels were available. If at some stage I decide to add to my solar system one of these would do the job and save on weight, with no postage or import duty to pay.
I wonder if the higher wattage flexible panels will come down further in price?

Those ones in my link are about £160 but are a higher wattage. I wonder how much extras like shipping, VAT would add on? As it is an environmental thing, it may attract less custom duty and VAT. We can only hope.

The postage & packing is shown as £56.02 for the panel from the US.
Could be worth it for the extra wattage.

Have a look on this duty calculator to work out what you will have to pay, before you order one

You would not want the parcel to arrive at the door & a huge amount of money to be paid extra before they give it to you....
No payupee No parcel

but there again it might be No duty to pay.

I won't be ordering one anytime soon, but the calculator shows a figure of £0 excise duty but £43.24 Vat. for the U.S. imported panel.
