Sorry

Hi John M

I'm sorry this is so late but I've been away. What can I say, I apologise most sincerely. I shall not try to defend myself other than to say I didn't mean to sound so mean and I really did think it was a wind up. I had just been reading through page 2 and page 3 of this section of the forum and there were 2 or 3 references to this piece of kit, and in fact a John M had contributed to one of them. Obviously not the same John M then. I really am so sorry, it sounded so bad when I read it again. In future, I will read any contributions before posting. I hope I am forgiven.

Hi Sophie

Thanks for your post. Your apology is well and truly accepted. I'm sure we all say things that we don't really mean from time to time.

You're a gentleman and obviously a much nicer person than I am. In my original post I had intended to go on to extol the virtues of the Maplins kit, ease of use etc but my phone rang and I cut short my post without reading it through.

It is a decent piece of kit. Ours came complete with the decoder or whatever you call the box that connects to the tv. I wouldn't again pay the extra for the Sat Finder as we did, the tv signal is loud enough to hear from outside the 'van when setting up and along with the compass thingy to give a general idea of direction it doesn't take long to get the hang of setting it up in 10 minutes or so.

Thanks again for being so nice about my faux pas. When I got back last night and logged on I realised what a b...h I sounded.

Happy Viewing

Sophie
