I'm toying with the idea of going this weekend,

Broadlands Estate, Romsey Hampshire.

Has anybody been to one and is it any good, worth going?

I think it is quite a small show, No major players seem to be exhibiting in person as it were just local dealer etc

Can anybody shed any light?

Have been for the last 3 years .Lots of second hand motorhomes and a few new caravans form Chichester caravans. One big marquee with lots of the usual show sellers.
Was booked to go this year but cancelled due to other half's op.
The rally field , the grass is long and they have sheep and cattle on it until a week before, last year it was muddy with tractors pulling motor homes and caravan out.
The entertainment was good , but very little seating and quite cold so not a lot of people went over, beer was good "Doombar"
Overall its another reason to get out in the van and an ok show.

If anyone is thinking of purchasing a Buccaneer from South Coast Caravans please feel free to message me, I would be happy to share my experiences.
I think you are getting confused? This is the South West Caravan show not a company

I'm definitely not confused, also I did not start the discussion.

Err i think you are ? South coast caravans are a company based in Romsey, The South West caravan show is a caravan show in the grounds of Broadlands and not run by the South West caravan company, if you buy from the show it is from the companies attending the show like Chichester caravans ?
And its irrelevant that you didnt start the thread as the discussion is about a show NOT a dealer so your thread has nothing to do with the original post?

What absolute rubbish your posting.

Firstly I never started the thread - it is about a caravan show at Romsey, where did I say it wasn't. There are numerous companies showing at this show, where did I say otherwise.
South Coast Caravans are at the show (as well as others), should anyone feel the need to find out more they just need to message me and I'd be happy to share.

Exactly what rubbish you are posting?
The discussion was about the Caravan show and you highjacked it asking if anyone wanted to know about your experiences with a non related company you clearly have issues with ?

I am not sure what ChasC is doing exactly.
To post a rather cryptic message, presumably a bad experience from a dealership, then to remove his postings, even though there are replies quoting his original postings is to say the least confusing, and I am beginning to wonder, given the last reply (subsequently deleted by the OP) what the motive is , or what he hopes to achieve.

I will state right now that NO EMAIL ADDRESSES will be forwarded to either any person wanting to contact the said ChasC, neither will any be given to him.

My next course of action is dependent on any reply, assuming it stays on the Forum and is not deleted as the others have been.

Neither myself or Parksy are responsible for the already deleted posts.

Damian and MichaelE - I would like to apologise for the error's I'd made in making my post, in highjacking someone else's message (something I did not intend but took me a while to realise I'd done) and to MichaelE who I have clearly upset and I should have taken more notice in the first place.

I would be happy for Damian to remove all the posts that I'd caused, otherwise if not to leave this one.

I will not expand on my reasons for the content of my first posting, but I again apologise to anyone I've offended.

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply.
Thanks to ChasC for the posting and apology, it is indeed most appreciated.

Sometimes it is easy to post something which to the poster seems OK, but in the wider picture can cause some confusion and upset.
We all make mistakes (myself quite often!)

...........for the record the rally at the show held by the West Hampshire CC centre was very enjoyable.

Good weather .......great location.........plenty to do......no time for arguments ;)
