Spain over winter

Hello
We are currently outside Nice and on our way to Spain for winter looking at staying in the Alicante area anyone got any long term site recommendations and tips etc

There is a popular site at Bennacasim, used a lot by long staying Brits, hour from Alicante, has good plots, facilities, own restaurant, good social calendar, 30 min walk to town which is pleasant, with plenty of shops, and supermarkets. Indeed, Mercado is right across road from entrance.
Boterra Park is name of place, staff speak English and helpful. In the CSI lists.

The town of Benicassim is only a 5 minutes walk from the site. We like this site as it is ideal for cycling, 1/2 mile from the promenade, and there are orange groves just out the back of the site. Getting up into the mountains is about 10 -15 minutes.

We will be there at the end of December.

Is this the Alhazar site? It advertises in the Caravan Club magazine. We stopped there briefly last year on our way to Murcia and were not impressed. Location is good, but the site itself resembled a travellers' site, we thought. People were crammed in without any separation and there were many long-term residents who appeared to have added on and added on to their original van, often with plastic, tarpaulins and so on, until they occupied the whole pitch. On our return, we stayed elsewhere.

No Joanna, not that one. Seen similar elsewhere, and very sad views.
The Bonterra Park site is not at all like that. Plots all separated with marker lines, many with waste water disposals
All EHU's convenient, toilet blocks spotless, and general management very good.
All visitors I have spoken to there always commend it.
First time I used it must be over ten years ago, and very impressed then, hence returning next Jan.
