Specialised Accessories Covers

I've been reading through the forum postings on caravan covers and can see a mixed bag of comments. Some good and some bad. We want a cover as we have loads of trees around our property so I'm just trying to establish the best make. I'm put off by the problems with pro-tek so it's come down to Specialised Accessories (SA). Has anyone got anything good or bad to say about the SA covers?

Hi Mike

We have just fitted our new SA cover last week for the first time. I can't tell you yet how it has performed but I was impressed with the cover itself. Ask me again next April as it is in storage now.

Hi Bill. Thanks for the response. Did you consider the Protec covers?

Hi Mike we;ve got a Protec cover, very impressed by the quality and fit.Keeps the van very clean. So impressed we are going to order a towing cover for those long runs to France

We too fitted our SA cover to our Senator Indy for first time last week. The fit is perfect - very snug, so very little scope for flapping and 'chafing'. Being a tight fit, though, it was a bit of a chore putting it on - definitely a two-person job! Putting the soft material over the windows is also a bit fiddly. Unfortunately will have to take it off next month when van goes for service.

Hi Mike

Yes, we looked at the Protec and the sample materials looked very similar but last Spring SA were offering a discount so we went for that. SA cover is a good fit and looks very well made so finger's crossed when we take it off next year.

We've used an SA cover on the same caravan for 5 years (cor is it that long...) and it's still in decent condition. Keeps the van dry outside and sweet-smelling inside. And it's as clean in spring as it was when the cover went on. When/if we replace the van we'll be getting another SA - unless the competition has better covers of course.
