I've litteraly just bought one. I haven't even collected it so can't advise yet!

It looks good though, we looked at a few 6 berths and decide this was the best for us.

I'll post again when I have it (26th July) nd let you know!!

Hi Rowan,

Ive just been to look at the Sprite 6 berth fixed bed and compared it to the Bailey. I prefer the look of the Sprite but Im concerned about the build quality. Did you compare etc and what made you go for this one. Is it a dealer near to the Cheshire area?

Thanks

Chris

If you can take a look at the Xplore 6 berth. I've just bought th 5 berth (495) and had it away for the first time. Surprisingly everything works as it should and it tows really well. Was tempted by the Sprite also but had a Hobby to trade in which most dealers wouldn't touch!

Chris,

We haven't chosen yet hence the request for opinions. We thought the Sprite Major 6 was a plausable option when compared with the likes of the Xplore 546 and the Bailey Ranger 540/6 or 550/6. We compared on price, spec, build quality and weight and it held up well against its competitors. Having said that there isn't much between the lot of them so it would probably come down to personal choice. As for your query about build quality, all the vans we have looked at have shortcomings but the Sprite felt better built than the Bailey but not quite so well screwed together as the Xplore. However, the current deal on the Sprite at our local dealer (Michael Jordan Caravans) is very good so it wins back points there...

Richard,

Yes, the Xplore is a good option but difficult to come by close to where we live. Unfortunately our local dealer has decided not to deal with them going forward as they don't offer the margins they want. Such is life.

Rowan,

Thanks for your response.

Weve decided on the Sprite Q FB, due to the looks. Still not the best looking interior. Why dont these designers get their act together and come up with a modern look fabric. Did you see Roland Rivron's Bailey 620 in the CC magazine a few issues ago? He had special covers and venetian blinds made.

Ive got a good friend who is currently searching the best deal, we live in the Northwest so theres a few dealers around here.

Thanks for your help

Chris

Hi Chris,

Not a problem. Good luck with the purchase.

I have to say I am impressed by the customer service at Swift - nice to see them trawling the forum and welcoming new customers. It's the sort of thing I try very hard to promote in my company!
