Sprite Super 450C door seal

Hi we bought an old circa 1993 Sprite we love it and have been repairing it over the last few years.

Whilst working on restoring all the seals around the caravan I noticed the door is totally devoid of a seal all the way around the edge and so seeps water.

I have attached an image of the channel it is supposed to fit into. As there isn't a seal there I have no idea what the old one looked like, I was wondering if anyone had experience of replacing such a seal, what to buy and where from.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Dee

There is a company called Seals Direct who list a whole load of different profiles and will provide samples. Don’t know if any other forumites have used them?

Hi thank you much for the reply I spoke to them and they have no idea. I was thinking of getting some samples but to be honest I don't know if the seal just goes between the door and the frame or if it comes out from the door as a flap to cover the entire gap from the outside.

I'm quite handy for getting DIY done but not been around enough caravans to know what door seals should look like especially one made in 1993. Although I have to say everything was better back in the 80s and 90s
