haveing looked through some previous posts and noticed your comments on delamination of the floor round the door and cooker area, I have just bought a Lunar LX2000 1999,with a damp free report supplied with van which has been regulary serviced and have noticed a squeak from the floor in that area, but there is no spongyness in the floor at all and seems quite solid Could it be just a squeaky floor.

Looks like it could be the start of the floor going but wouldnt worry to much about it yet at this stage,it will go very soft spongy and bouncy, not a hard job to do neither is it expensive if you do it yourself, but as an estimate in genral, vans from about 8 to 10 years old are worth keeping an eye on the floor area mainly around the entrance and kitchen area,i have know of a 2002 floor van to go (things are not built the same as they used to be)

If it is the floor that is starting to go would it not be better to repair now rather than to wait until it gets spongy, does this problem spread or os it confined to certain areas, how long would you consider before I need to worry would it be months or years, having had no problems like this with other older vans I am not sure of the time span.

Hi David

Its difficult to say without seeing it,but it usually goes where the floor gets heavy use,ie the entrance, kitchen area,if when you stand on it and bounce up and down (not jump)and it feels springy, yes it does need to get looked at as it will only get worse, mine went over a 3 year period,I repaired a 3 ft square on mine at the cost of
