Standard SCENIC awning?

Thanks LB I have looked in great detail through earlier threads relating to the SCENIC+.

However, I note that the awning rail size is 275cm which is too long for our caravan (Ace Award Dawnstar 2 berth, end washroom) It would obscure part of a window and/or part of the external toilet cassette door. I also understand that it is important that it is on a straight track - not on any part of the curve! For obvious reasons, we do not want it partly obscuring the window (because of possible damage) and it would be impossible to empty the toilet cassette with it in situ.

Has anyone else had this problem?

What is the opinion of forum members with regard to the smaller Scenic model? Is it of the same quality?

Thanks for your help.

Ann Im not 100% sure but i think your model is the same layout/dimensions externally as our Abbey GTS Vogue 217 although the other 200 series are the same. If so the Scenic Plus will fit with no problems. You can slide it along to fit wherever you want, I usually line up the front edge with the edge of the window and then if I remember correctly it gives you access to the cassette compartment.

Thanks LB. Yes it is the same layout (and I think on the same shell) as your caravan. However, when we measured up on our 'van it would appear that the Scenic plus would dip on the awning rail at the back. Have you had any problems with this? Other threads suggest that it should be housed on a 'straight line'.

I'm not too sure what you mean by "would dip on the awning rail at the back". All I can tell you is on mine it fits perfect. Some people experience moisture along the top seam if it rains but am told it cures itself once weathered. Friends of ours didnt know that so contacted their supplier and they sent another FOC.
