Starcamp contempo porch awning

Hi,

Father's day yesterday and my wife on behalf of our three boys bought me a contempo. Great until we put it up on our Ace award Nightstar to find it only just reaches the ground at the caravan end. I know I know it is our fault we did not measure the height - we had just assumed that a new design porch awning would fit a new caravan from the biggest manufacturer in the UK.

Anyway we are waiting to hear from Laudbys about an exchange but I think I know the answer.

Funnily enough when we were last away a couple of weeks ago we saw a contempo annexed to a new twin axle Stirling and they must have had the same problem. Are there any of you out there with ill fitting contempos?

By the way this is my first post. We bought a new caravan in the winter and absolutely love it (as do our three boys aged 5,3 and 1).
 
Sorry to hear of your problem, hope you get it sorted OK.

I was thinking of buying one myself. I have a Swift Challenger, so presumably would be in the same position.

Steve, if you contact sunncamp I think you will find that they have had a few 'ahem' production problems ............ in other words they cocked up with the contempo. Sunncamp will supply free extra material to extend the length of the mudwall or you could ask for a refund as it is not fits for its purpose.

I too like the contempo and was going to buy one until i found out about the error and purchased the Scenic + instead which is really excellent but not quite the space of the contempo.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give sunncamp a call.Perhaps there are caravans out there which are of a suitable height but if not perhaps they should take them off the market.

Does anyone have a Sunncamp Contempo awning? Does it have side doors? How long does it take to erect?
