static sites

i have purchased a static caravan and want to site it on east coast....... why am i hitting a complete blank ....... free country i think not any suggestions......

Hi Nita

I had a static for 8 years on the east coast.You can not buy or sell to anyone but the site owners with the benefit of the pitch. The pitches are owned by the site owners. They sell caravans at massive mark up prices and reserve the pitches for customers who have bought a van from them.I bought a new caravan from such a dealer. When i sold it back to him 3 years later he gave me less than half that I had paid for it. Anyone buying a static caravan must look upon the experience as a massive loss of money,and go into it with their eyes open.
