Garry :
Yes, the HUMAX pvr is perfect for my needs; I swapped out the 80GB hard disk for a 200GB drive and now have adequate space. Of course the HUMAX (which I have had now for almost 2 years) is not unique, but it does allow the pausing of live TV which we use each and every night. It's amazing how often you need to pause live TV to pop out for a minute or whatever. Likewise, being able to re-wind allow us to re-listen to a key part of the plot or freeze the newspaper article that was shown for less than 2 seconds etc !
The latest HUMAX models have twin digital tuners which allows you so much more flexibility; e.g. record and playback at the same time.
It's been perfectly reliable and easy to use. My only 'gripe' is that my HUMAX doesn't allow any easy way to export a programme to DVD. So really I retain films etc on the HUMAX; but it's not ideal.
If I replace it, I'll use the HUMAX in my caravan. (There ! I got the word caravan 'in' so that I am not totally abusing this forum !)
