Status 550's

Hi all, I have just bought a status 550 Aerial, After reading the instructions it doesn't say that i need to mastic to stop water getting in is this correct, or should i mastic it anyway?

I would definitely use mastic to seal the join so no water can penetrate.

You most certainly do need to use mastic on the base plate to roof join.
Use either Soudall Fixall or Sikaflex 512.
Do NOT use any silicone sealer such as bought at B&Q etc.

I won't i've got some mastic so i will probably continue with it if the weather holds
