Hi all, I have just bought a status 550 Aerial, After reading the instructions it doesn't say that i need to mastic to stop water getting in is this correct, or should i mastic it anyway?
 
You most certainly do need to use mastic on the base plate to roof join.
Use either Soudall Fixall or Sikaflex 512.
Do NOT use any silicone sealer such as bought at B&Q etc.
 
Hi AbbeyOwner, It is not necessary to use any form of mastic on the roof seal, this is why the fitting instructions don't mention it. For all correct information on Vision Plus / Status products contact Clint or Harvey at Grade UK ON 0115 986 7151.
