steady legs

I think they are called steady legs, the legs you wind down in the corners.

Just picked up the van and can not find the winding handle, can I wind down the legs some other way, say a spanner?

Don't wont to go back as it is 60 plus miles.

A 19mm socket and a speed brace with an extension bar works well.If no speed brace, use the ratchet handle. If you look on e-bay etc you can purchase a socket with a bar welded on that will fit a cordless drill which makes life really easy. She who must be obeyed bought me as a birthday present!!

Thanks for every ones help, I used a 19mm socket and all works fine.

Next job try out mains electric, gas, then the water.

Given it a fare clean in side but found a packet of fish fingers in fridge and that did smell.

At the weekend will clean outside of the van.

The wife and me love it, best thing we ever have done and just when we have both retired.

Thanks again from Reg & Pat
