Sterilisation of water

Hi I’ve just filled the system with puri cleanse in the water, can I turn the water heater on with this mixed in, I want to check water heater working ok so thought I could do it while it’s sterilising.

Too late now, if you have,
I use Puriclean once a year in March, leave it for 30 minutes and drain and flush, and we always drink from the van. Never had stomach problems,

I use Stera Tabs and fill both barrels with eight tabs in each which is the recommended mix. Leaving the barrels for an hour, i then fill the system inc onboard tank and leave it for around an hour. Drain down, rinse both barrels and refill system. I run the taps until i can no longer smell the chemical, and then I run the hot water up.

Another +1 for Puriclean... Used it on the boat for years (60 gallon stainless water tank) which I did leave overnight, but the caravan I leave for the minimum 60 minutes once I smell the chlorine on the water coming from the taps.

Run out of Puriclens camping shop only got small tub supply due in today for larger tubs will returns early next week. With 2 water barrels and all pipework in van small tubs would not be enough.

I have got a small amount of Puriclean in
So i got these just in case
Aqua Midi Tabs x32
Each tablet purifies 25 Litres

I use Puriclean, have done for years Once in spring once mid year, for 4 - five hours. This year the only reason I said I'd leave it to soak over night is, that I've used my van twice in 2020 so I thought I would play safe, because of the system being hardly used. I personally would not run water heater with the sterilising still in the system.

Always use van system as I would the tap at home, no problems.

This is why I use Stera Tabs, doesnt leave that canned beer taste. Not that I would ever drink from the caravan system. We always carry a food grade jerry can with a tap on it which we fill for drinking water.

......anecdotal evedence seems to point to not using Milton to clean metals or systems containing metals!
e.g. caravan water systems.

Puriclean specifically says it doesn't damage metals in the instructions .
