Sterling Eccles Fixed Island Bed

Good morning all, this is my first post but I have been reading this site for a long time So thanks for all of your help so far.

We have a 2015 Sterling Eccles Quartz SE, now out of warranty, we absolutely love the caravan but the bed is really really uncomfortable when pulled out fully. It seems to slope to the sides. It's higher in the middle than it is at either side. There is a pole up the middle of the base. We have tried a mattress topper, a memory foam topper, putting blankets at each side of the base of the bed to heighten it a bit but nothing seems to work. I have scoured the internet and can't fine anything about this bed or how to fix it... Perhaps we just have a faulty one??? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated

Never heard of this before but it sounds as though the pole might be too long. Is it possible to cut a bit off?
