Remove the cassette and give its really good clean out and refresh the fluid. Is the Cassette pivoting closure plate pushing up against the seal as it closes on the last bit of lever movement. The Thetford site gives lots of information on the service/reapir of the various models. theres also info on Youtube too. Tackle the obvious first then move on to the servicing actions next.

How do you know the battery is broken. Have you charged it and its not holding charge. It could be the caravan charger not working. Before buying new battery I would remove it and charge it then see what voltage it holds after charging.

It’s not too difficult to strip the cassette down and give it a very good cleaning. Don’t forget to also clean the cassette chamber. These are cleverly designed to make them as difficult as possible to clean.

check all sealing rubbers and replace with the overpriced parts if necessary.

Not sure what you mean by the battery is broken. If it has died, then I am afraid a new one is the answer. Do recycle the old one though.
New leisure batteries should be A< B or C, A is for heavy use, off with a lot of off grid and the like. B is moderate use mainly for those with movers and C is low use for those on hook ups almost all the time.
