Sterling Fridge (Kath at Swift)

Kath are swift aware if there has been a fault with some of the shelfs in the Thetford refrigerators over the last few months the coating has been peeling off and rust has come through. This weekend i striped off all the coating to repaint them and noticed that a lot of the crome has come away has well. Do i have to get replacement from thetford or yourselfs.

I have been in touch with Thetford and they are aware of a problem with some of these shelves.

They will exchange without question.

Anyone experiencing any problems with a Thetford product can contact our Customer Care department by calling 0114 2738157 and a customer advisor will more than happy to help. Regarding Fridge Shelves, you contact our Customer Care along with the Serial Number of the fridge (this can be found inside the fridge on the back wall behind the Vegetable Bin) which will look something like E123E1234 and we will be more than happy to discuss replacement requirements.

Are Dometic fridges made by Thetford as we have a problem with our salad tray in a Bailey?

No , Dometic fridges are not made by Thetford.

Dometic was originally Electrolux and were the only RV fridge manufacturers of note.

Fridges by Thetford are a very new item, although by the nature of the fridge for RV units is very similar in lots of ways.

Shelves however are probably sourced from the same manufacturer.

Dave, if you have the model number , an RM number, and the build number, both on the label inside the fridge, contact Leisure Spares and they will almost certainly have the spare you need.
