Only 18 days to go until the days start to lengthen on 22 December. The bulbs are peeking through and some of my Hellebores started to flower a couple of weeks ago. The gardening books or webpages don’t seem to be able to handle the changes to the seasons, so I have to go by experience and instinct. Thoughts are already turned to holidays 2023.

I keep looking at something that grows leafs, in the corner of our front garden. Every year Mrs H , states it's too early to cut it back. I think when I put up the outside Xmas lights ( LED) low cost, I will topple the steps and myself onto this thing. It will be trimmed back.
