Sticky thread!

The black herzim strip on my caravan has degraded and become very sticky on the exposed surface. I have tried various cleaners without joy. I know I could just order a roll to match and replace it, but a short strip across the back that I replaced a few years ago is already at least as bad! It’s also a fiddly job up a step ladder!
Any ideas please?

Can't say I have ever seen it being offered at my local pole dancing emporium 😳

It runs through the awning rail thus concealing the screws. Available in various widths to match

Some plastics degrade quicker than others. Sorry, but I think a new one is the answer.
The good news is I found a specialist tool.
Bad news, it costs £76

But this video recons you don't need one.
