Still need a map

In the latest copy of PC mag is piece from a couple who live in Lichfield who visited their local C&CC site at Conkers in the Peak District,Derbyshire.

It is of course not within 20 mile of the nearest edge of the Peak District, this is the second time this has been misquoted and could lead someone who is not local to book the site thinking that it was indeed in the Peak District

On the C&CC website, Conkers makes no reference to the Peak District - it does, correctly, locate itself in "The National Forest".

The couple from Lichfield should know where the Peak District is, half of Dovedale is in Staffordshire!

Exactly this is the second time in a few months I have seen reports from locals who have described Conkers as the heart of the Peak District instead of heart of the National Forest. The nearest part of the Peak District to Conkers is just outside Ashborne which at least 20 mile away !
