hi all
we are travelling to Plymouth from stoke on trent ,can anyone recommend somewhere to park up for a couple of hours during the day with our caravan?
we have 3 children and don't want to stop for long on a layby 🤔

Depends when you go. If at weekends for the next couple of months the motorway services will be hectic. On weekdays they should be fine but if you stay longer than 2 hours you have to pay. Sorry I can’t help further.
 
What about Weston Super Mare?
Just off the motorway and you can park at the Football Ground CL providing there's no match on for about £5.
Have some time in Weston then back on the motorway in 10 minutes.

Michaelwood Services are good for parking but don’t overstay your time limit which runs from entry to exit on ANPR cameras as do most services. Other than that you’d have to go off motorway into lay-by.
 
Pull off M5 at J 22 then to adjacent roundabout and turn right on A38 (heading north), not far along is Sanders Garden Centre, loads of parking and easy access. Check it out on Google maps/street view!
 
Gloucester services are brand new. Maybe a bit to early to stop for you and at the week end could be crowded. parking easy to get too and large.
