Stopping the night at st Marlo

Hi Matthew

We have stayed at the port overnight 3 times now. We normally arrive about 9pm and by this time there's only 1 ferry bound for Jersey left to sail. This leaves the area nearly empty. We usually park along the perimeter put the legs down and get a good nights sleep. As yet we have never been disturbed. Hope this helps.

Last year we arrived at the Port of St Malo for the evening 'vomit comet' to Poole which arrives as the Brittany ferry departs. We arrived at the port before the Brittany ferry had loaded and security would not allow us to wait in the port area. We had to go back to a hypermarket and kill time there. For security reasons why not stay overnight on a proper site nearby. There are plenty within a half hour drive of the port.
