storage abroad

Hi, we live in Portsmouth and our storage costs have risen by 100.00,in 3 years to nearly 500.00.We are now thinking of storing the caravan in France as we spend a lot of holidays there anyway.Does any one else do this? if so can you give us any advise e.g.re insurance.or do you know a good place.
