Hello Richard,

This will not be of much practical use to you, however I can tell you that there is definately a big caravan storage warehouse in Bezier. Unfortunately I can't remember the trading name but it is well used by a lot of Dutch caravanners and shouldn't be to difficult to find.

Best of luck - I'm doing the same with mine but storing it in Spain.

Many thanks. I've now found it and visited and the van's booked in. It's called Le Grand Duc - excellent place and very cost effective.

Regards,

Hi Richard,

I'm pleased that you found it ok and have seen where your van will be "wintering" this year. Yes it is a cost effective solution and gives you the option of either staying at your favourite site by flying down and then hiring a car or driving down and continuing touring.

Best regards

Hello Richard.

Have you had any trouble arranging insurance for storage in France?

We intended to leave our van in the same area earlier in the year but couldn't find any dependable insurance that would cover the van.

Olly.

Olivier,

Try Adrian Flux - they insured our van when I used to store it near to the El Delfin Verde site on the Costa Brava. They will request the full security details of the storage site and may contact them directly, and if they are satisfied they will provide cover.

Here's the www address: http://www.gardiennage-caravane-dugrandduc.com/index.html

I insure my van with the C&CC and simply told them about the change!

This forum is exactly what I was after . Can I confirm that they will two the caravan to your site and put it on the pitch for you and then collect it when you've finished.

Also how well do the owners speak English as I may ring them just to ask a few questions and my French is not great.

Hi - Yes, they will indeed deliver and collect (for a fee). Not sure as to the level of English spoken as I managed the transaction in French. Check out their website though and give 'em a call!

Hi Richard

I've managed to speak to them with help of a French translation site but unfortunately they wont deliver to Portiragnes Plage where I want to go , even though its only 15 miles away
