Stronger shelf support?

Anyone know where I can get a stronger shelf support for the front drop down shelf? At the moment it's just a plastic 'triangle screwed to the front wall and the slightest pressure on the shelf seems to break it! Surely there must be a metal/aluminium one out there?
 
Sorry should have been a bit clearer. This is a bracket which rotates out from the wall to form the rest for the shelf. It's like a small triangle on a shaft/bracket screwed to the wall. Slightest pressure on the shelf and the plastic breaks at the top. Will try to post a piccie tonight.
