Stronghold ALKO Hitch Lock??

I'm after a hitch lock & I've been advised that alot of insurance companies advise you must have an ALKO lock? Is this correct?
Also I've noticed that Amazon sell what they call a... "Stronghold ALKO Compatible Sold Secure Hitch Lock"
It costs £74.99, is this a genuine ALKO lock? Will it be ok?
Is there different shape locks for each model of van?

Cheers

Stronghold is not a geniune Alko hitchlock. You can buy the geniune Alko one at most caravan dealer acessory shops for the same price.Different insurers accept different locks but if you have the genuine all insurers will be happy with it.

I got one of these included in the deal with my Coachman VIP. I wanted a genuine Alko jobby but I think the salesman had other ideas. Anyway, I tried it, and it's not bad. It slides over the hitch handle and bolts up underneath. It is a little fiddly getting it on and off, but it works fine. It also has a nice little carry case to stow it in when not in use.
