Stronghold Alloy Wheel Clamp Purchased for Steel Wheel Bailey for use on new alloy wheel Coachman. Correct bolts?

When we purchased a new steel wheeled Bailey Ranger Series 5 in November 2006 we also purchased a new Stronghold alloy wheel clamp - the one with the u bend - which we were assured would be suitable. We have now purchased a new 2013 Coachman Amara which has alloy wheels. Does anybody know if we need new wheel bolts? The stronghold web site lists 3 different lengths but retailers don't even seem to ask what caravan it is for when they sell one. Out of interest we compared our bolt with one off a new Coachman at our dealers and ours was very slightly shorter, had less of a shoulder although at the same angle and was shiny compared to the much rougher surface on the Coachman bolt.

Hi Chris
I'd say that you will need to purchase new bolts to be on the safe side because alloy wheels have been known to come adrift even with the correct bolts if not torqued correctly. The bolts on an alloy wheel sit inside a recess which is why the shoulder is different and an incorrect surface or length might not secure the wheel.
If you are still not sure the manufacturers of the wheel lock are Maypole Ltd and their phone number is : 0121 270 4301
