we are in the planning stages for getting our new (secondhand) caravan.

having never owned one before theres a lot more to it than one would imagine!

Next hurdle, assuming we get a secondhand caravan with no stabiliser bar or locking devices included, ive been looking around at whats on the market.

i came across stronghold security and they appear to do a range of good looking well made stuff.

so...

1) is the stronghold stabiliser bar worth getting or would you recommend something else?

2) we would want a hitch lock, stronghold do an alko hitch lock or a standard hitchlock, both seem good, but are they?

3) we would want a wheel lock/clamp. Again, stronghold do a few.

i guess what i really want to know is, can you buy the wheel lock and the hitch lock and have the same lock barrell so you can use the same key?

also, is the stabiliser bar easy to fit, is there any drilling involved etc or is it just a case of tightening some clamps up?

and finally, would you reccomend any other of different security features, such as internal alarm, door dead locks etc?

thanks

steve
