Stuff for removing heavy stain on baths

Hi All Our friend had moved in to their home at last, it a old property, that need some money spent on it, but in there own time, I can't remember the stuff you use to use to remove the stain marks and other item on the bath, I not talking about supermarket cleaner, as they haven't got a computer yet so I ask if any of you know what that stuff is called and where can you buy it from, Thanks Trevor

Hi John, Sorry I forgot to put what kind of bath is was, it the cast iron one.

Ajax powder cor have'n heard that for years another one Vim,

Thanks Guys Trevor

Computer went funny and sent last post before i finished it.

As i was saying try a product called TD 30 it's not something you will get in supermarkets my hubby being a plumber gets it from the local plumbing shop and it really does do the job. If the stains are extremly bad they may have to apply it a second time.

I use it every few months and it will gets simple water marks off in seconds.Everything looks like new afterwards.

I am sure that there will be many adviseing on this .but for what it is worth , we used Ajax powder with excellent results .
Ajax. Where do you get that now. Gone the same way as Vim I think.

All showing our age!!!!

When first renovating properties over 25 years ago we found T-cut as used on car paintwork retuned enamel baths to bright blemish free condition.

Try citric acid crystals, home brew shops should stock them.Make a paste with the crystals and then rub on. Citric Acid is not very strong ,it is only lemon juice in crystal form.

CILLIT BANG AND THE GRIME IS GONE, im only shouting cos i think im barry scot lol.....it is good stuff tho and if left too long can stain stuff.....
