Im looking for a caravan site in the South of England, If possible within walking distance to a town/village. We have 2 teenage daughters to entertain so quite a large site with a pool would be good. Dont want to go to Devon as we have kind of overdone it over the years. Any help would be appreciated.

Audrey,

One suggestion may be Bashley Park in Hampshire.

It is on the edge of the New Forest and not too far from Bournemouth. One advantage of this site is that there is a daily coach service to/from Bournemouth so you dont have to take the car. Also it is only a mile walk to New Milton where you can catch the train into Bournemouth and other destinations.

Peak season you may be glad of that option!!

Bashley is a clean site with good pitches and full entertainment etc and good indoor/outdoor pools, however when they say leave at 10 on departure day they mean it!!

Sandy Balls is another possibility but that is about 18 miles inland from the Hants/Dorset Coast and you may find they are already fully booked.

Hi John,

I came across details on the Bashley site by chance yesterday , I checked availabilty and have sent for a brochure, it sounds really good, especially for the kids. Thinking of booking today. Thanks for your reply.

Hi audrey,

Yes there is loads there for the kids, football pitches, tennis courts, crazy golf, an arcade (noisy!!!!!!!!!!!!)so they will be well entertained if you go there.

There is so much around the area to do as well in the New Forest and down on the Coast. If you do head that way, enjoy.
