Sun blinds

I've been told that the sun blinds should not be used over a long period as the tension may disappear. Is this correct, should I be using the blind during the summer months while the caravan is parked at home?

Hi Janet,

We have suffered from weak springs and tensioning problems in the past and now tend to use the caravan curtains over prolonged periods (ie storage), rather than leaving the blinds closed and under tension.

If you put "blinds" in to the subject box in forum search, you will get a list of fairly recent discussions on blinds and they include a lot of good ideas for overcoming associated problems.

We just prop cardboard and a few sunscreen things inside the windows when the van is not in use. It seems to work, because the curtains and upholstery are fine after 6 years.
