sun shades

I've seen these used on caravans on the continent, but for the life of me I can't find any for sale in this country.

These sun shades fit above the caravan windows and stick out in a simlar way to shop window shades. They leave the window fully operational.

Does anyone know where I might purchase some?

Thanks

Steve L.

I may not be of much use to you, but the only time that we have seen them for sale as been in Holland, the following definitely sell them: http://www.de-wit.nl/index.php

as do most of the accessory shops over there.

They do not interfere with the normal opening of the front windows

On the continent Steve. lol

Seriously I have not even seen them for sale there,we usually end up opening the window right up and clipping a towel over it.Not so attractive but just as effective

Bit too chilly here in Herefordshire in March to open the window.

Just want to cut out ther glare, not frighten the sun away.

🙂 🙂

If you have a rail over the front window - as do many European vans such as my Burstner - then Isabella sell shades to fit, either 'solid' or dark mesh - I have the latter and it's excellent. From memory bought from Waudbys but any Isabella stockist should know.

I assume you could fit similar rail over side windows, but the Isabella relies on supports which go down and clamp onto the grab handles.

If you have awning rail above the windows it is not hard to make your mown as we did. Get a length of awning piping and sew it onto strong fabric sch as canvas or old tent material. Put eylets in the corners to tie them down . When its very hot they come in most useful

Hi is this not what you need? seen it fitted to a few continental vans. At 170 GBP it isn't too bad. Maybe similar warning to the porch awnings that stay on rail tho'?http://www.riverswayleisure.co.uk/acatalog/308152.html
