Has any one any experience of one of these, saw one over w/end at Stowford and it with stood some fairly gusty winds. Talked to the owner and they are well impressed and happy.
The one thing niggling me and to be honest I didnt notice on site, is on all the promo info/photos the mudd wall flap is shown external, does any one know if they go inwards as well?

Hi Gagakev.
We had the Sunncamp 390 and was very impressed with it.
However, the mudwall flaps do only go outside the awning.
This was the reason we have now changed to a Towsure Panama porch awning.
Same dimensions as the Sunncamp and about the same price I believe.
Mudwall goes inside the awning.
Purchased it from Towsures website and will be using it for the first time in 2 weeks time.
Hope this helps.
Adrian

Hi Adrian, thanks for the reply, does it come with the canopy poles, does it have the blind thingy's to the windows, and also does it have the strengthening roof bars?
Thanks for your help.

Interesting one that Rick, is it perhaps yours would be the newer version (2011) and Adrians was possibly an older model?

I bought a Sunncamp Ultima 390 Acrylic last week and the skirt will go inside or outside. You can fix the ladders on either side of the awning.

Sorry for the untidyness of the skirts, I was still finishing it off when I took the photo

Possibly so Kev, I only bought it last week from a dealers. I must admit its a good sturdy awning, and really quite heavy. I think its around 35kg in its bag with all the poles etc.

Im hoping to get a 180 porch this weekend as well, just for short breaks, Im trying to get the same one, but it looks like they dont do the Acrylic in a 180, so I amy have to get the polyester one instead

Yes mine was an older model so the mudflap would only go outside.
According to Towsure,it comes with all the poles and I think it also includes the "drop down" curtains.(the type that fastens up out the way with velcro).
Our Sunncamp had that type too.
To be honest,I havent taken it out of the bag yet(suppose I should really to make sure its all there).

Hi chaps think another reason could be that the one I was on about first was a polyester one possibly like Adrians and Rick yours is the next model up which I assume would be heavier quality being Acrylic.
Sorry did'nt know there were two versions.

We bought the Dorema which is the same as the Sunncamp 12 months ago. We've have recently given it away to friends because it wasn't the best fit especially where it met against the caravan and the skirt pegged on the outside.
We bought a new Kampa Rallye and used it for the first time last month. This awning is a far sturdier awning than the one we had before although it's a lot dearer. The skirt is pegged down on the inside and it has buffer pads sewn in where it meets the van. The poles that tie to the pads are an extra but well worth it. It comes with the roof stretcher poles and again as an extra you can buy monsoon poles which tension the roof the opposite way to the stretcher poles. The beauty of this awning is it's adjustable front legs which are ideal on uneven ground and for tensioning the awning when erected. Another extra is the storm straps which we bought for peace of mind after once arriving back on site after a day out and finding our old Sunncamp flat

Strangely our awning never came with the grey peg ladder straps but whereas all the other lightweight awning we've had the ladder straps have been sewn in. This is a sod if one breaks. This awning pegs down like normal awnings. You can use the rubber bands or ladder straps.
Another point is that there's more headroom in this awning because it doesn't slope like the others. I also found this awning a lot easier to erect than the normal lightweight awning that is mentioned above. Dearer but worth it in my opinion. I shopped around on the net and saved about £70.

Hi LB, did take a look at the Kampa a couple of weeks ago and got to admit I had forgotten about it, but as everything in todays world you's get what you's pay for, but I do like the adjustable front legs, the Dorema I have currently has them and I thought they were standard!!!!
Just need to find out the price of the rear poles, and tie down straps, perhaps someone will do a deal if I buy altogether.
Do you actually have the monsoon poles?

Yes and they work ok in tensioning the roof. I have the Kampa Rallye 260 which is plenty large enough for us.
The monsoon poles and buffer pad upright poles cost extra as does the storm straps. The roof tensioning poles are included.
I can't remember the name of the online firm we bought off but the whole lot cost £230.
I had admired this awning before when seeing it and Sir Roger had already got one and recommended it to me and although I've only used it once I get a good feel about it.

Cheeeers Old Bean, like to have the 390 so will chase it up tomorrow.
Think I'll join the posh clan, if the Lord and Sir Rog can have one then I think Gaga has earned the right to have one too

Forget the above Kev.

The grey ladder peg straps do come with the awning. I've just found them in the bag that the thin wirey pegs came in. I didn't even look in there because those pegs are a waste of time so dumped them in the garage. Now I've got the ladder straps and some of the rubber band type we bought at Witney. Doh!
