swift barbie point.

Hello, We have a swift challenger 08 model its supposed to have a barbie q point on it but even after 2yrs of owning it my hubby cant seem to find ours anywhere. Can anyone who has this model please inform him just where it is please. We love a barbie but no barbie point in sight. It,s driving him mad trying to find it.

Usually they are at the front of the nearside panel covered by a small flap. It has to be here because they link to the gas system in the front locker. My previous Eccles Topaz had one which is the Sterling equivalent of the Challenger. I can't imagine that you would have an access point anywhere other than on the outside of the van?

hubby will definately take another look their tomorrow. He says though he already looked there though . Maybe he missed it eh. Or maybe swift missed it out. Instruction book says there is one installed though and other challengers have them. Cant understand it at all.

We too have a 2008 Swift Challenger and at the time we bought it, Swift dropped the BBQ point. They also dropped the Omnivent on some other Swift models too and replaced it with an opening light.
We weren't too bothered about the loss of the BBQ point, as we always use the disposable charcoal bbq trays from Tesco or Co-Op, which are quick and easy for just us two and when cold, can just be dropped in the bin, with no cleaning to be done. It's a different story though for those who want a gas point to use a Cadac.
We would miss not having the Omnivent though, as I cook in the caravan a lot and it sucks steam and cooking smells out. It can also be used in reverse, sucking outside air into the caravan when it gets hot inside.
One day, Swift will put them back in again, announcing it as a new innovation.

Hi meals on wheels, abt the onmivent we also have one in our caravan but never use it cos either its not working or better still we aren,t working it properly. Without sounding thick any chance u can help out by explaining how to get it working proper. Which switch works wot.?
