No Problem DustyDog, it can sometimes feels as though some sort of accusatory finger is being pointed in my general direction when I'm quoted and the answers are addressed to me by name.

I have a feeling that you may indeed be mistaken in thinking of Practical Caravan magazine as a 'Which' type peoples champion, I'm not convinced that it holds a brief to be a consumers rights publication.
I know that magazine staff are happy to offer advice and in some cases to ask searching questions of manufacturers and dealers but the trading standards and citizens advice bureaux are the most appropriate places for disgruntled caravan buyers to turn to first of all.
Anecdotal evidence suggests that few if any caravans suffer water ingress through the floor panels, have you heard of damp coming directly through a caravan floor where no joints are present?
For this reason I doubt very much whether any of those affected will be taking their dealers to court because of this shoddy working practice in this particular interest but I stand to be corrected.
If someone with this poorly drilled hole were to instigate legal proceedings I, like yourself, would await the outcome with interest but I wouldn't bet my pension on the outcome
