swift group front panel

i have a 2009 swift challenger 570, after washing the van yesterday i found what looks like cracks around the front grab handles in the moulded panel.can you offer any advice please.

thanks tony

Tony, as your van is a 2009, contact your dealer. It is his responsibility to sort the problem out.

Hi Tony, depending how bad the cracks are you should be asking for a new front panel, you may get someone from Swift visiting to view the cracks and determin what course of action is required. Id contact Swift as well as your dealer (yes I know your contract is with the dealer) this will up the complaint to be delt with properly and in a Timely manor.

Contact Swift on their new forum, a great tool to talk to them, and get some action.

Swift Group 'vans are usually GRP mouldings and, if so, it's probably just a crack in the gel coat and is a straightforward repair. Back to the dealer.

cracks around front grab handles

thanks for your help.

Hi Tony,

At least your van waited til it was a year old before it cracked mine is a 2010 van with the rear panel already repaired and now the front has to be repaired.

Has Swift got an answer as to why the cracks are occurring?

Good luck with it.

Trev.

Hi Tony,

I have seen your details, and as promised, passed your message onto our Customer Care Team. Perhaps if a Moderator is available, they could remove your personal details from an open forum?

Trev : There are numerous reasons why the GRP can crack, stress cracking is normally the main cause, but each case is assessed under its own merit. It also depends on whether the cracks are only on the gel coat, or go deeper, but what ever the cause, please visit your dealer to arrange a repair.

Thanks,

Ash
