Swift nose weight+tyre pressure

Could anyone advise me of the correct nose weight of my Swift Archway Barnwell and also the tyre pressure. It is based on a Charisma 565 2004. I have had the information but I can not find it anywhere now.

Thanks Clive

can't help with the tyre pressures but noseweight Idealy should be around 7%of the mptlm but do not exceed the recommended max noseweight of your of your car or your tow bar max load

Thanks Tony I have already looked into that but as I use an old 4x4 at the moment I am finding it difficult to find the towbat max load (ther is no sticker on the tow bar). The toyota's 85% towing weight is around 1600kg so it is upto the job of pulling but I want to make sure I have a nose weight inkeeping with the van. I think I will have to take the bathroom scales to where it's kept and do some maths.

Clive I was refering to 7% of the caravans mtplm Ie 7% of 1360kg =95kg noseweight although not pos on my car as car max n/w is 75kg & the alko caravan hitch has a max load of 100kg so you cannot exceed that. you will need to find out the max noseweight allowed by the car manf.

clive I was refering to 7% of the mptlm of the caravan ie 7% of mptlm of 1360kg =95kg noseweight. my car has a max allowable n/w of 75kg so I can only go to that. plus the ALKO hitch (if your van chassis is ALKO)has amax load of 100kg so your noseweight must be less than that & also not more than your car makers recommeded max noseweight

Thanks for that Tony I was not aware that the ALKO hitch had a Max load of 100kg. The figures I was after are just to check that I am following the guidelines. 🙂

Clive i have a charisma 555 2006 tyre pressures of 64psi and nose weight 0f 75kg for a passat 2.0ltr diesel estate 2008

hope this helps

Duggie
